Introducing a new session of Writing Women, to be held Tuesdays in Marblehead starting Nov. 7
As Virginia Woolf once said, “So long as you write what you wish to write, that is all that matters; and whether it matters for ages or only for hours, nobody can say.”
The greatest obstacle between the desire to write and actually writing is usually not lack of time, but lack of permission—and lack of a deadline.
Writing Women will address both.
We’ll write together from prompts and, for those who wish to do so, share writing created outside of class. Each writer’s specific questions and concerns will be addressed in a supportive environment.
Writing Women gives you permission to commit to a writing practice, whether you are new to writing or desire to jump back in. Writing exercises in and out of class will help you discover your voice and tell your stories. You will come away with a wealth of material that you can further develop in class and on your own.
DATES: 6 Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Nov. 7-Dec. 12
Course tuition: $250
